Suzanne Loughlin

Suzanne is a founding member and Executive Vice Presidence/Chief Administrative Officer of Firestorm® Solutions, LLC, a recognized leader in crisis management, vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation and business continuity.
Suzanne has extensive experience in the development of business continuity, communicable illness, emergency response, workplace violence and crisis communications plans on behalf of Fortune 100 clients, as well as small businesses and governmental entities. Suzanne’s training and practice in legal exposures has provided her superior insights into the five common failures businesses typically suffer in disasters. In addition, with a comprehensive human resources background, she is uniquely qualified to speak on how to manage the “Every Crisis is a Human Crisis” impacts seen in all disasters.
Firestorm’s work with major clients, which includes crisis management support at Virginia Tech, has provided Suzanne exceptional insights into preparedness. She has inspired hundreds of groups and thousands of listeners on these topics. Her presentations, both entertaining and instructive, equip the audience with actionable ideas and suggestions. From her positions as Firestorm’s EVP and Chief Administrative Officer, Director of a public insurance holding company, to experiences with a major New City law firm litigating professional liability actions and Managing Attorney of a law firm with multiple offices throughout the country, Suzanne demonstrates the value of critical decision support in urgent crisis events.
Receiving her Bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and her JD from New York Law School, Suzanne is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and serves as a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Sullivan County Bar Association. Suzanne has obtained Emergency Management Professional Development Series Certification from FEMA, and has completed extensive FEMA and Emergency Management Institute training.
Suzanne is extremely active in her community and has received numerous awards for her service, including the Anti-Defamation League’s prestigious ‘Americanism Award’ in 2007; The Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development 2009 ‘Distinguished Service Award’ ; The Catskill Mountain Business & Professional Women’s 2008 ‘Woman of the Year Award’; The American Heart Association’s 2001 ‘Community Volunteerism Award; and The Sullivan County Childcare Council’s 1999 ‘Child Advocate of the Year’ Award.
Suzanne serves as a board member of the Sullivan County Industrial Development Agency; the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development; and Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, a ‘think tank’ focused on long range planning to improve the quality of life for the residents of the nine county region in the Hudson Valley. Suzanne also serves as a member of the board of directors of a regional bank, Rhinebeck Savings Bank, in Poughkeepsie N.Y. For the past 19 years and continuing, Suzanne serves as the Race Director of the Rhulen Rock Hill Run & Ramble, Inc., an annual 5K benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which has raised over one million dollars and has added hundreds of names to the international bone marrow donor bank.
