Robin Iachini

Robin Iachini, RN, is health services manager with Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance, being primarily responsible for medical utilization and provider relations.

She holds a masters degree in nursing and a certificate in public policy from the University of Maryland. She also achieved certification in case management.

Iachini has been in workers compensation for over 20 years, working with multiple stakeholders.

The Health Services Department is composed of multiple disciplines that are primarily responsible for helping the injured worker to recover from injury and return to work. Services include physician reviews, nurse case management, precertification/utilization review (UR), pharmacy, medical payments and independent medical evaluations.

Iachini has presented on numerous topics to both health and claim professionals. More recently, she has been part of the CEIWC community outreach for Narcan Training to employer groups as well as those in the community.

She was one of the first to bring attention to the increasing use of opioids in work-related injuries and subsequently created a pain management team that included both medical, claims and legal professionals in addressing the emerging crisis.
