Pete Vloedman is a thought leader in reinsurance, insurance-linked securities and disaster financing. He has over 28 years of (re)insurance and asset management experience. Vloedman is currently a portfolio manager of Context Insurance Linked Income Fund (ILSIX).

Vloedman has been involved with the design of alternative risk transfer products since 1991, including the CBOT catastrophe futures, Bermuda Commodities Exchange and catastrophe bonds and swaps.

His company startups include Mid Ocean Reinsurance, BNP Paribas’ ILS investment funds and Pulsar Re, Ltd., where he was chairman and chief underwriting officer.
