Patrick Hirigoyen is principal of the Hirigoyen Group, a public relations and communications consultancy with a specialty in insurance. Hirigoyen has a reputation as a strategic communications executive with a singular knowledge and understanding of the industry’s trends and issues.

Hirigoyen’s insurance industry experience includes, beginning in 1986, 17 years with the global property-casualty insurer The St. Paul Cos. (now The Travelers), where he served in every aspect of corporate communications and with every area of the company. That included leadership of communications for The St. Paul’s global reinsurer, where he became “go-to” resource for reporters and editors in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

From 2005 to 2009, he was vice president, marketing and communications, for reinsurance broker John B. Collins & Associates (now part of Guy Carpenter).
