Marcos Iglesias

Dr. Iglesias is vice president and medical director of The Hartford, where he has broad accountabilities in establishing medical management claim practices across workers’ compensation and group benefits. He brings his passion for helping ill and injured workers live active, productive and fulfilling lives. His professional interests include the prevention and mitigation of delayed recovery and disability, as well as medical education. Dr. Iglesias brings leadership to the areas of prescription drug management and medical training. He is also developing comprehensive disability management solutions that focus on early identification of risk factors and appropriate early interventions to return workers to pre-injury function

Dr. Iglesias has more than 25 years of professional experience; first, as an occupational medicine doctor and, for the past nine years, as medical director for workers’ compensation primary and excess carriers, bringing innovations such as in-house home delivery pharmacy, proprietary pharmacy benefit management and telephonic disability management programs.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California.
