John Minor

John Minor is director of crisis management at Aon. He brings 23 years of experience designing and implementing insurance programs that address clients’ emerging market risks and pioneered the use of quantitative risk assessment to customize political risk solutions.

Over the course of his career, he has arranged credit and political risk coverage for hundreds of projects and companies, and he has extensive experience working with both the commercial insurance market and government-sponsored programs such as OPIC, MIGA, ICIEC and Dhaman.

As director of the crisis management practice, Minor’s focus is on leveraging Aon’s risk analytics and global trade credit and political risk platform to help multinational clients develop effective strategies for managing emerging market risks.

Prior to joining Aon, he served as head of emerging markets for Alliant Insurance Services. He holds a B.A. in philosophy and political science from Clark University. He has lived and worked in China.
