Ike Kavas is an American immigrant from Turkey who arrived in the U.S. with just $100 in his pocket two months before Sept. 11, 2001, and landed a job as a systems integrator for Xerox. A self-described techie and serial entrepreneur, Kavas has become an expert in the document capture industry and the founder of three successful ventures.
Most recently he founded Ephesoft, a fast-growing company that has developed patented supervised machine learning solutions that help organizations mine unstructured content into useful data. Having disrupted the document capture industry with its cloud-based platform and capture-as-a-service model, Ephesoft makes it possible for companies and organizations of all sizes to streamline and analyze unstructured content – and to add it to their own apps and programs. It makes everything from invoice processing to mortgage approvals more accurate and efficient.
Ephesoft has been named to the Inc. 500 fastest growing privately held companies in America, received a patent for machine learning technology applied to unstructured content, secured $15 million series A funding from Mercato Partners and been selected for multiple document analytics projects by federal intelligence agencies.
