Eric Seyfried

Eric Seyfried, a senior vice president at Aon, has had a variety of experience in the area of commercial errors and omissions. As an associate in private practice, he was involved in the direct defense of a variety of professional liability matters, as well as coverage litigation. In his role as senior claims counsel, he oversaw complex professional liability litigation as well as drafted coverage positions to insureds and handled coverage negotiations. In his most recent role as a broker, Seyfried brought his legal and claims experience to bear in crafting state-of-the-art solutions for clients in the areas of network security and privacy (cyber), technology errors and omissions, media liability and miscellaneous professional liability.

Experience

Seyfried has held a variety of positions on the brokerage and insurer sides of the business as well as in private practice relating to professional liability insurance over the last 17 years. He was an associate at Traub Lieberman Strauss & Shrewsberry as well as a senior claims counsel at Reliance National Insurance. Before joining Aon’s professional risk solutions team in 2014, most recently Seyfried was a senior vice president at Marsh USA.

Expertise

Seyfried was the national practice leader for media and content at Marsh, working with a variety of traditional and new media clients creating customized integrated solutions for his clients’ content, technology and cyber risks. He works with media, financial institution, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, retail and technology clients.

Education

Seyfried earned his bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Bridgeport. He earned his juris doctorate from Ohio Northern University College of Law.
