Donna Peavler has emerged over the past 20 years as a highly regarded lawyer in Texas personal-injury litigation, rated by her peers as “preeminent” in both legal ability and ethical standards.
She tried and won her first case while still in law school at the University of Texas at Austin, and has since tried numerous cases to verdict in both Texas state and federal courts. She also has developed an impressive appellate record, arguing and winning cases in state and federal courts of appeals and the Texas Supreme Court, where earlier she had interned for Chief Justice Thomas Phillips. She has won three cases before the Texas Supreme Court.
Peavler opened her own firm in 2002, and in the last 14 years she has enjoyed the privilege of representing both big and small companies, including many industry leaders like Kroger, Target, Bass Pro Shops, IESI Industries, PetSmart, Hobby Lobby, Macy’s and Domino’s Pizza. She takes a personal interest in each of her clients and participates in the community by providing pro bono representation to clients who are financially unable to retain counsel. She also is an active speaker and writer on various litigation and risk-management issues, with published papers on topics ranging from nonsubscription, arbitration and products liability to federal procedural issues. Her firm has been selected by general counsel at Fortune 500 companies as a “Go-To Law Firm” and was awarded as a “Go-To-All-Star-Firm” for being selected for five years or more.
