Christine Kogut

Chris Kogut is a principal and consulting actuary with the Boston office of Milliman, working out of its South Burlington, VT, location. She joined the firm in January 2003.

She has more than 20 years of actuarial consulting experience. Her property and casualty experience includes loss reserving, reserve variability, insurance pricing, rate filing review, risk transfer analyses, simulation modeling, capital adequacy, experience monitoring, risk financing, risk-based financial examinations and predictive analytics. She has worked with a wide range of clients, including traditional property and casualty insurance companies, reinsurers, captive insurance companies, risk-retention groups, self-insurers, public entities, public entity risk pools and state insurance departments.

Recently, Kogut has been involved with Milliman’s predictive analytics solutions, which assist clients in uncovering opportunities and challenges in their business. With the help of advanced predictive modeling, clients can underwrite risk more accurately and incorporate improved risk assessment into their rating models. She has performed this work for traditional property and casualty insurers as well as public entity risk pools.

Kogut’s prior work experience included defined benefit retirement plan consulting and employee benefits financing.
