Bill Wagner is a seasoned trial lawyer who concentrates on environmental law, complex litigation and white collar criminal defense. He represents clients in matters involving environmental contamination, class action personal injury and toxic tort claims, remediation cost recovery claims and federal and state enforcement actions.
He has skillfully guided clients through parallel administrative, civil and criminal investigations and prosecutions and has litigated complex business disputes (involving securities laws, trade secrets, patents and RICO claims) and claims for policy holders seeking insurance coverage. Wagner has tried cases involving complex, scientific issues in federal and state courts and in arbitrations throughout the U.S. and is often consulted by other lawyers on the nuances of expert testimony and the admission of scientific evidence at trial.
Wagner has been honored by inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America since 2012, has been regularly recognized as an Indiana super lawyer and has been named a fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, a fellow of the Trial Lawyer Honorary Society and a life fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation. Wagner serves as the environmental crimes subcommittee chair to DRI’s Government Enforcement and Corporate Compliance Committee, is a committee member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program is one of two Indiana liaisons to the 7th Circuit Bar Association. He is a trial skills instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is a member of DRI’s Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee, the ABA Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts Committee and the ABA Environmental Enforcement and Crimes Committee.
