Alex Sun joined Mitchell International in 2001 and serves as president and chief executive officer, guiding strategy and day-to-day operations. Sun served as president and chief financial officer until 2008.
With a vision for serving the broader claims technology needs for the property & casualty claims and collision repair industries, Sun has led the company’s expansion to achieve unparalleled breadth of technology, connectivity and information service offerings.
Prior to joining Mitchell, Sun served as the chief financial officer and vice president of finance and administration for an enterprise software company (now part of the SAS Institute), with oversight of worldwide finance, legal, human resources, information systems and facilities. Sun also spent approximately 10 years with Merrill Lynch, finally serving as vice president in the investment banking division, where he was responsible for providing corporate finance and strategic advisory services to financial services companies.
Sun currently serves on the board of Mitchell International as well as on the board of trustees of the Gillispie School. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
Sun is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
