Kenneth W. Ruthenberg, Jr.

Ken Ruthenberg is a shareholder in the employee benefits firm Chang, Ruthenberg & Long PC. He has practiced exclusively in employee benefits law since 1979, covering qualified retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, and welfare benefit plans.

He served as an adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law’s Master Of Laws In Taxation program and at Golden Gate University’s Graduate School Of Taxation. He also served as chairman of the State Bar’s Taxation Section’s Employee Benefits Committee.

He is a co-author of The Business Owner’s Retirement Plan Survival Guide. Ken is a fellow of the American College Of Employee Benefits Counsel and was selected by his peers for inclusion in the registry of “The Best Lawyers In America”® and in the publication “Super Lawyers”®.
