David Margulies

David Margulies is the founder of the Margulies Communications Group and the author of the book Save Your Company, Save Your Job — Crisis Management in the Internet Age. Since 1986 the firm has worked with clients, including many in the insurance industry, to deal with media relations and crisis management issues.
The firm is a consultant to a number of the nation’s leading alarm companies and electronic alarm organizations. In addition, the firm provides crisis prevention seminars that help companies and organizations create policies that prevent insurance losses by addressing employment and business policies in a responsible manner. Crisis management services make sure that clients have crisis management plans in place that can mitigate or prevent insured losses.
The firm has helped companies deal with coverage issues, medical malpractice claims, construction issues and employment litigation as well as a wide variety of product liability litigation.
Margulies served as the spokesperson for Oprah Winfrey when she was sued by Texas cattlemen and has been the primary spokesperson in the long running probate case in which Anna Nicole Smith sued his client’s family. The firm has worked on cases in federal and state court including litigating that has gone to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Margulies has appeared as a commentator on high profile issues on programs such as Marketplace, Today, CNN, The O’Reilly Factor, Fox News and Forbes Magazine. Prior to forming his company, David was an award winning broadcast journalist in Dallas and a correspondent for NBC News.
